Dating Your Best Friend

It seems i'm a little stuck on the dating scene and friends. But I think that i'm almost about done.

Would it ruin your friendship if you dated? I've dated about two friends and in the end we were still friends, but we were never as close as we used to be. But I had to know what would happen. It's like reading a book and not finishing. There are always some "what ifs".

So comment and tell me about some of the friends you've dated.

Is this something you're supposed to do?

In my opinion it depends on your friend and how their relationship ended. Although they may say it's okay they may still have feelings for them. That means that you're damaging you and your friends relationship everyday you go out with that said person.
Now what if said person still liked your friend? It would be very infuriating for you to think that they would be flirting behind your back.
It can cause nothing but trouble in the end. I see no way for it to end up good in any way.

Take up or your friend

"What is she wearing. . . . ."

"I heard that she. . . ."

"I'd like to have his girl. . . ."

You're sitting next to people who are talking about your friend or trying to offend your friend in a way. Your friend isn't around so what do you do. Do you run to them and tell them. Well yeah, but not before you take up for them. Say something to them. Defend your friend. Don't let them be bashed around you. You would be betraying your friend if you didn't.

After you've done your duty tell your friend and before they question why you didn't stick up for them tell them that part too. It might even cut down on some drama if the person knows that there are people watching out for their friend.
